KARABUGAN 2012 - The Malinao Escapade with the AdNU-SSG peeps

SPOILER ALERT - Introduction part contains heavy doses of drama. Paki-skip nalang if you wish to :)

Decision-making. 

     March 25, 2012 (Around 8:30 PM) - I was with kuya Paolo and kuya Marlon as we were heading Naga. From a celebration at Calabanga, we went right after to Beanbag at Magsaysay and waiting for us there were my Nay Chucky, ate Marian and other close friends of theirs. Sometime soon, their topic changed into plans for their big outing the following day. Despite being aloof with group, their topic caught my attention. I remembered asking kuya Pao days ago if Josh would join, sabe niya oo raw. A little later after, we walked from Beanbag to centro, and during that time Nay Chucky and kuya Pao asked me to join. Here comes the drama part: Gustong-gusto kong sumama, kaso sino ba naman ako sa SSG? Eh outing nga nila yun. And more importantly, I wouldn't want to spoil my good friend Josh too much. Recently nga lang kami nagkabati from a very significant misunderstanding, baka maumay ulit yun sa presence ko. Kaya ayun, for the rest of the cold evening that night problemado ako. Tinawagan ko nalang siya para ma-resolve yung problema ko, tinanong ko siya kung okay lang bang sumama bukas. I got an "Okay lang" na sagot kaso 'di ko gusto yung tono nung boses niya that night, parang wala sa mood eh. Kaya lang, 'di ko nalang pinansin, as long as I got the Go Signal okay na sa'kin yun! :)

    March 26, 2012 (6:30AM) - Everything was set. With my bag stuffed with unnecessary extra clothes, umalis na ako ng bahay. Kaso, nahiya akong pumunta sa venue nang mag-isa. Kaya huminto muna ako sa People's Mart at tinext ko siya. Sabi ko sabay nalang kaming pumunta sa meeting venue. Kaso eto namang si Josh, antagaaaaal. Yun pala kakagising lang. Carry lang naman maghintay eh. Kaso kung ano-ano nang thoughts ang pumasok sa isip ko. What if hindi na pala siya sasama? Or what if ayaw niya lang samahan ko siya? Puro what if's ang nasa utak ko. Eh, pano ba naman kasi, bigyan ka ba naman ng almost two hours kaka-hintay, syempre kung ano-ano nang papasok sa isip ko. Tapos umuulan pa ng time na 'yun. 

Josh, what na? Tuloy pa ba tayo? 

But then, he came. Wala yung pagod. Game na ulit ako. Haha. Dali-dali kaming sumakay ng tricycle. Umabot naman kami kahit na magna-9AM na nun at 7AM daw ang call time. Pasalamat ka talaga padangat taka men :)

The Travel

     

      The travel was staggering and I also lost track of the time. Siguro around 2 hours yung byahe from SM Terminal going to our destination, Malinao Libmanan. 

But the travelling wasn't over yet. From where we dropped off, we still need to take a ride going up (and down) to the real destination. By this time the rain was still pouring and it was getting heavier by the minute.

The Experience

     The weather was a bit bipolar. Uulan ng konti, tapos iinit. Tapos uulan ulit ng malakas. Despite this we were able to enjoy and appreciate the place. Relax and hindi pa masyadong polluted. Maya-maya, there were games played like 3, 6, 9 and Word Masturbation (did I heard it right? Haha) Unfortunately, I didn't mingle with them during this time kaya nag-solo flight nalang muna ako while exploring the place (Shit. Masyado kasi siyang occupied with the games and stuff) Tuloy, nahawa na rin ako sa weather at naging bipolar na rin ako. Huhu. What we did enjoy altogether was this:

Later On..

     Masyado kaming nag-enjoy dun sa swing, most of us naka-ilang ulit tumalon dun. Yung iba panay ang langoy gaya ni Al. Haha. Meron namang kuntento na sa inuman sa loob ng kubo. Masyado lang talagang masaya nung araw na 'yun. Here's some more pictures:

I was so happy to be with him again for the first time (kahit na busy siya masyado) To be honest, I wanted to grab the opportunity to talk to Josh on this day, kaso mukhang may nauna na sa'kin :( But still, to the SSG peeps, I love you guys :*
